It's a mystery

why I like a mystery quilt so much.

The Jan/Feb issue of McCall's Quilting has the start of a 3 part mystery quilt.  Naturally, I had to go find some fabric and get busy.

I really liked the way the instructions told me how to pick the fabric. They also showed the fabric selections made by the magazine contributors.

My focus fabric is the dark blue with the camping gear. My first neutral is the beige and the second is the deep red. The white fabric is my final fabric.  The instructions said it could be any fabric that compliments the other 3.
One of the downfalls of mystery quilts is not knowing which fabric will do what.  I'm hoping the clear instructions for choosing will equal a pleasing quilt.

We'll see.
